This mid 20th century gouache on paper painting entitled "Obstructionism" is by San Francisco artist Clyde Follett Seavey (1920-1991). Seavey studied at UC Berkeley and California College of Arts and Crafts. He was a commercial artist for magazines such as The American Weekly and had many shows in San Francisco during the 1960s. One of a series of illustrations by the artist. Framed in a contemporary cream and brown frame with a double mat of charcoal and white. Signed lower right.
