In "Chance" Albany based artist, Ken Ragsdale has created a visual conversation which references a historical lithograph of Albany, New York made by J. W. Hill in the 1850's. This work on paper is an orginal color drawing over a recreation of that print, with added contemporary surrealist elements of a chess board, chair and moderist sculptural form incorpoarted into a perspectival map of the city.
Ken Ragsdale is known for his paper constructions of re-created memory. Ragsdale often considers memory as an important element in the process of the creation of his works.
