About the Item
Apple and Butterfly is an original Contemporary artwork realized in 1970 ca. by the Italian Contemporary artist Leo Guida (1992 - 2017).
Original drawing in pencil on ivory-colored paper.
Good conditions with some foxing at top- left margins.
The artwork represents an eaten apple and a butterfly above it flying through deft pencil strokes, confident and quick.
Leo Guida (1992 - 2017). Sensitive to current issues, artistic movements and historical techniques, Leo Guida has been able to weave with many generations of young people in the course of his career, a productive conversation on art and the function of the artist. He was a teacher at the Liceo Artistico in Latina from 1969 to 1985, and he trained many of the artists who today characterize the Italian cultural scene. Copious was his production of graphic works in which Guida showed all his talent for the techniques of chalcography, etching, aquatint and burin etc.
