Spettacolo is a superb original drawing on ivory-colored paper, realized by the Italian artist, Mino Maccari (1898-1989).
Signed in pencil on lower right margin.
A beautiful original drawing representing a satire of a theatrical spectacle realized with the typical sharp stinging of the Tuscan artist, the incredible touch of the talented illustrator of the Italian newspaper "Il Selvaggio" : a hand like a scalpel doesn't hit his full mastery of the drawing in addition to a deep psychological and physiognomic characterization of the characters.
Except for minor defects and a little rip on the right margin, in excellent conditions.
This artwork is shipped from Italy. Under existing legislation, any artwork in Italy created over 70 years ago by an artist who has died requires a licence for export regardless of the work’s market price. The shipping may require additional handling days to require the licence according to the final destination of the artwork.
