Food from Switzerland is an original drawing artwork in pen on paper realized by Italian Artist Giuseppe Scalarini (Mantova, 29 Gennaio 1873 – Milano, 30 December 1948). The state of preservation is good, except for some folding. Giuseppe Scalarini (Mantua, January 29, 1873 - Milan, December 30, 1948) was one of the leading Italian caricaturists and satirists. Among the first Italian creators of the political satirical cartoon, he founded the newspapers Merlin Cocai and La Terra and from 1911 he collaborated with the newspaper of the Italian Socialist Party, the Avanti !. An anti-capitalist and anti-militarist, he was persecuted by fascism.
