He also traveled to Paris where he studied at Ecole Colarossi, Academie Julian, and Ecole des Beaux Arts. He had his first one man show at 21 and by the time he was 24 his art was exhibited at the renowned Milch Gallery in New York City. Whorf liked to use watercolor as he thought it represented his mood better, but his artworks were more bold than the typical watercolorist. Today his works are enjoyed by critics and collectors alike as they are part of many acclaimed collections, including: The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Smithsonian, Art Institute of Chicago and Harvard University.
