Signed on old frame backing, 'La Vere Hutchings' (American, 1918-1998) and titled 'Early Snow'.
LaVere Hutchings had a degree in art and during WWII taught art as a soldier in the US ARMY. Hutchings owned a gallery/school in Jamestown, California. His work can be found in LDS Museum in SLC, at BYU, and elsewhere.
He was featured in Art West, SW Art, North Lights, Pallett Talk, and has 2 Walter Foster, "It's Fun to Paint..." books, a hard-bound book, "Let Your Watercolors Sing" and more.
