This group of five pieces of artworks includes an original 16" x 20" oil on canvas portrait of Noble F. Beacham by Floyd James Torbert from New Hope, Pennsylvania, painted in 1979 and it is signed lower right, dated and titled "Beach", the Nickname given to Noble F. Beacham, on the reverse. Also included are four original watercolor seascapes, painted along the coast of Maine by the artist himself in the 1940's. Two of the seascapes are 15 1/4" x 15", one is 14 1/4" x 14 1/2", and the smallest one is 13" x 13". American painter Noble F. Beacham (1898 - 1987) was the husband of American/Pennsylvania painter Helena Krause Beacham. The watercolors are signed "NFB" or "N. F. Beacham" on the front of each work, and one is titled "Scoodic Point, Maine" on the reverse. The watercolor paintings are unframed, the oil on canvas portrait is framed. Provenance for the seascapes: Estate of the artist. Provenance for the portrait: Estate of the Artist, Coryell Gallery 1980, Gratz Gallery.

    No structural damage. The watercolors show some wear along the edges, some minor paint loss on one of the boards, some light foxing on another board. The oil on canvas is in general excellent and original condition.
