Gustave Poetzsch (1870-1950) Young Girl with Pink Ribbon Original charcoals and pencil drawing Stamp of the Estate auction sale on the back On linen vellum 26 x 20 cm (c. 10.5 x 8 in) Very good condition, paper lightly yellowed Information : Gustave Poetzsch came in Pairs in 1892. He studied arts in Académie Julian and was received in 1895 to Beaux-Arts school. He worked during five years in the workshop of Luc-Olivier Merson and after that in the workshop of Gustave Moreau. Here he met Matisse, Camoin and other famous painters Gustave Poetzsch is one of the typical painters of la Belle Époque. As Jacques Émile Blanche, he paints beautiful Parisian women, elegant society in Bagatelle or in Deauville.
