Suzan Etkin's passionate involvement with glass began in 1993, when she was invited to design sculptural chandeliers for gallery exhibitions with Giorgio Giuman and master glass blowers in Murano, Italy.
Prior to working with glass as a medium she was the production manager for Andy Warhol Factory (Production Manager, Film & Video), and quickly emerged as a conceptual artist of global recognition. Her work has been shown in the Museum of Modern Art in New York, Paul Kasmin Gallery, Holly Solomon Gallery, and other museums and galleries around the world.
In 2001, Suzan founded sei studio in SoHo with her husband, Brenden FitzGerald. They have collaborated with some of the industry’s most innovative architects and interior designers to produce custom chandeliers and art features for hundreds of landmark spaces, including the W Hotel Seoul, Mandarin Oriental New York, and Intercontinental Hong Kong. Exceedingly Rare Cameo Glass "Blue Dog" Vase, Designed by George Rodrigue (American/Louisiana, b. 1944). From 1993 to 1995, George Rodrigue worked with Kelsey Murphy and the Pilgrim Glass Company in West Virginia to recreate his "Blue Dog" designs in cameo glass. The layered glass is sandblasted revealing Rodrigue's raised patterns. He created three bowls and a vase, each in editions of thirty-five. Rodrigue's novelty items were only available in limited editions and were primarily created for his private collection and experimentation, thus very few have been offered for sale. For this reason, the bulk of these works remain in private hands.

In this highly conceptual work, artist Todd McCollister has combined a myriad of elements to depict a narrative scene that makes the viewer pause. Inspired by historical elements, the work explores space, structure, and sound. A small boat-shaped after shave bottle serves as a floating element beneath a brass bell. A wall of undulating wood creates the cliffside, while more delicate beams of wood jut behind the piece, somehow evoking both fragility and the integrity of industrial engineering at work.

This piece started as a reference to the "acoustic mirror" listening stations on the southeast coast of England. These huge concrete parabolic reflectors focus sound to a small point. This long hanging sculpture by David Licata is composed of square links of torch-worked borosilicate glass in pale jade green, orange, pale translucent yellow, bright neon yellow, deep burgundy red, and clear links towards the bottom. The square links are joined together in a Japanese four-to-one chain maille pattern, cascading downward from an asymmetrical, bent glass tube supported by two metal brackets that can be installed in the wall. The result is an ethereal, delicate work that casts dynamic shadows on its surroundings and glistens in light.
Transforming rods of borosilicate glass with fire, David Licata uses a variety of gas torches to pull, stripe, blend, twist and bend glass into ornate links which are transformed into an elaborate wall sculptures of undulating glass. Licata who is exceptionally knowledgeable and adept at creating historic chaine maille patterns often bases his contemporary artwork in that tradition. Licata’s sculptures explore the ideas of protection inherant in chain maille and linked fencing in contradiction to the implicit fragility of glass. Variously transparent and opaque, solid and ephemeral, his glass sculptures are solid forms and also cast shadows that are fugitive and integral parts of the artwork.
