Ellen Kierr Stein is an Atlanta-based non-objective paper collage artist. A native of New Orleans, she graduated from Smith College with a degree in art history. She creates multi-layered bold compositions that generate rhythm and variety within its framework. She is interested in the process of transformation, creating works with a multitude of textures, colors, shapes and lines.

Parker (American, 1941). This piece is divided into a checkerboard, with a variety of overlaid patterns and textures.
