Xenia Ostrovskaya ist der letzte Neuzugang zum Pool der Künstler, die die Galerie vertritt und ihre witzigen übermalten Postkarten haben schon beim ersten Auftritt auf einer Messe eine fulminante Resonanz gehabt, dem ein „Gallery Statement“ auf der Parallel folgen wird, wo ihre Arbeiten ein eine Installation integriert sind. Seit einigen Jahren konzentriert Xenia Ostrovsakya Ihr Werk auf Übermalungen von alten Postenkarten, denen Sie mit wenigen Pinselstrichen eine neue Botschaft gibt, oder bestehende Botschaften verstärkt und verfremdet. Gerne arbeitet Sie dabei mit Kriegsmotiven, aber auch klassischen alten Ansichtskarten, die oft mit Pflanzen und Tieren (vorzugsweise Schmetterlinge und ihre Puppen).
