(UK). After a brief career in engineering he pursued his life long passion to become a photojournalist. During a highly productive and eventful career that took to him to around 50 countries, covering world news events including war, civil unrest, crime, natural disasters and entertainment he became increasing frustrated by the selective focus of mainstream media. He turned his visual skills to street art as a way tackling issues he felt passionate about using his experience as an image maker and story teller to create bold, emotive art. With a mix of stenciled acrylic spray images and surreal oversized & often controversial installations that both amaze and amuse, his work combines humor, irony, criticism and unique opinion to create art that engages on many levels. Often questioning the norms in society Plastic Jesus confronts our compliance of culture and current affairs. The artist uses scale and contradiction as a means to highlight issues and opinions that often go unquestioned. The aesthetic appeal of his work combined with the engagement produces an addictive mix that challenges our acceptance.
