Artist Amanda Dagg depicts a warm field of poppy flowers brimming with bright yellow Welsh and red corn variety. She creates a dynamic scene using an impressionistic impasto style incorporating golden shades encircling the bright morning sun. "I've also painted a small dragonfly flying by the grasses," shares Amanda.
About the Artist
Artist Amanda Dagg paints richly textured landscapes brimming with colorful flowers. "I want people to feel a bit of joy, happiness or love, and a sentiment of peace and stillness when viewing my art," says Amanda. At the age of 10, a family friend taught her how to paint using a palette knife. Later in school, her art teacher guided her on how to meditate before drawing and painting. However, it wasn’t until pursuing evening art classes as an adult that Amanda was encouraged to become a professional artist. "My tutor believed in me before I believed in myself," she remembers. At the time, Amanda had four small children and wasn't able to develop relationships with local galleries, so she began showing her work online. She painted prolifically and soon made connections around the world. Today, she's sold over 3,000 paintings online and in galleries. Her patrons include private collectors, nightclubs, churches, and restaurants, and even a Premier League football player. When she's not painting, she loves spending time in nature, camping, kayaking and bird watching.

- Pink and Yellow FishBy Feng BiddleLocated in San Francisco, CA
Artist Comments
This painting is on a gallery wrapped canvas with finished edges. It comes ready to hang.About the Artist
Feng Biddle didn’t have much exposure to art as a child growing up in China in the aftermath of the Cultural Revolution. It wasn’t until after she immigrated to the U.S. and stumbled upon an artist demonstrating how to use oil pastels that she realized her passion. Feng starts each piece by sketching on paper with charcoal, later transferring the outline to canvas like a stencil. When painting still lifes, she always outlines the vase first and lets the rest of the image develop organically around it. Feng works slowly and deliberately in her studio made of glass walls, reflecting on each piece until it guides her what to do next. When she’s not making art, Feng works as a data architect. “In a way, this is similar to what I do with my art, where I am creating structures for form and color. In another way, however, it is the opposite, as building data structures is almost entirely a logical, left brain activity, whereas my art work is an emotional, right brain effort. I guess you could say that these are the complementary yin and yang that make me whole.”Pink and Yellow Fish...
