- Beach Flowers, Original PaintingBy Amanda DaggLocated in San Francisco, CA
Artist Comments
Artist Amanda Dagg offers a calm and peaceful view of the ocean from a parted path of tall foliage and blue flowers. "Memories of visiting the beach as a child always resurfaces," shares Amanda. "I remember the joy and freedom I felt just from a glimpse of the ocean amongst the tall seagrasses."About the Artist
Artist Amanda Dagg paints richly textured landscapes brimming with colorful flowers. "I want people to feel a bit of joy, happiness or love, and a sentiment of peace and stillness when viewing my art," says Amanda. At the age of 10, a family friend taught her how to paint using a palette knife. Later in school, her art teacher guided her on how to meditate before drawing and painting. However, it wasn’t until pursuing evening art classes as an adult that Amanda was encouraged to become a professional artist. "My tutor believed in me before I believed in myself," she remembers. At the time, Amanda had four small children and wasn't able to develop relationships with local galleries, so she began showing her work online. She painted prolifically and soon made connections around the world. Today, she's sold over 3,000 paintings online and in galleries. Her patrons include private collectors, nightclubs, churches, and restaurants, and even a Premier League football player. When she's not painting, she loves spending time in nature, camping, kayaking and bird watching.Words that describe this painting: flowers, floral, beach, seascape, impasto, flora, grass, impressionism, acrylicpaint, impressionism, seascape, flora, acrylic painting, blue

- Cliff Houses, Original PaintingBy Janet DyerLocated in San Francisco, CA
Artist Comments
Artist Janet Dyer paints white cottages dotting a soaring cliff. Calm waves crash below, faintly audible above the cool wind rustling the tall palm trees. Janet utilized a palette knife with layers of acrylic. The dark greenery creates a cool contrast to the blue of the ocean. "This was inspired by a TV show set in California."About the Artist
Janet Dyer doesn’t like to spend too much time talking about her art, as she’d rather be creating it. She doesn’t have an artist statement, the traditional statement of purpose crafted by visual artists to explain their method. On becoming an artist, Janet simply states, “I picked up some crayons and pencils and brushes and kept using them.†She believes the process of creating art is equal in importance to the final product. The artist enjoys relinquishing control of her paintings to find delightful surprises in her so-called “mistakes.†Janet's expressively gestural yet bucolic landscapes are a testament to the success of her method.Words that describe this painting: seascape, ocean, water, houses, California, dusk, sunset, cliff, sea, sky, coast, acrylicpaint, panoramic, impressionism, seascape, acrylic painting, blue
