Age to Age is an original abstract painting by artist, Allan Storer. Storer’s process whereby he uses a squeegee to paint with gives the work an expressionist appearance. The multitude of blue tones gives the piece a layered effect and emphasises the abstract nature of the painting means that there are always new aspects to see.
Allan Storer’s inspiration and influences are 20th century modern art including artists Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and present day artists Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer. Allan Storer is an abstract artist painting in London and Cornwall and each painting has been carefully selected by our Chief Art Curator Deborah Allan. Allan Storer’s influences are 20th century modern art including artists Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko and present day artists Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer. He is represented by high end fashion retailers and has paintings in public and private collections. An experienced artist in educational therapy and with a special interest in the psycho dynamic principles involved in the process of Art and Education, Gerhard Richter’s polemic that “almost every work of art is an analogy” appeals to Allan Storer’s sense of what it is to be human His education includes Master of Arts, Chelsea School of Art, London, Bachelor of Arts, University Wales and Post Graduate, Kings College as well as extra curricular studies in the Slade School of Fine Art, London, St. Ives Painting School, Cornwall and the Royal Drawing School’ He is a member of the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society and Federation of British Artists.
