About the Item
Denise Driscoll's "Circles 35" is a geometric abstract painting composed of interlocking circles and squares with a layer of raised dots floating on the surface. The underlayers of paint are applied in delicate fractals and washes of turquoise, green and orange. A layer of iridescent dots form an interlocking network of circles and squares that is pierced by silver medallions. This 24 x 24 inch painting is on a birch panel with 1.5 in. sides painted in washes of green. The painting is signed on the back.
Denise Driscoll is a contemporary painter exploring themes of interconnection, inner experience, and invisible social structures. Her work is widely collected and has been shown throughout New England. She is a core member at Fountain Street Gallery in Boston.
