"Homage to African craftsmanship" abstract acrylic collage 120x120cm 2022
everyday soulless plastic objects make me miss the traditional materials that I had so admired during my exhibition in Abidjan in 1989
the evocative power of African statues and objects goes straight to my heart and fascinates me
I used packaging modules and vegetable fiber to signify the patinated side of natural pigments
in Africa, we are not afraid of strong colours and contrasts.
