Earth toned expressionistic cityscape with various colors including blue, red, and green. Framed in black frame with a yellow matte. Signed by the artist in the bottom right corner of the canvas. Artist Biography: Emalita Newton Terry's birth place is in San Angelo, TX. Her profession was an instructor at A&M University in College Station, Texas and painter. She studied at Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. Her work has been exhibited in Dallas, the Art League in Houston, Texas as well as the Houston Fine Arts Museum. Her work as gone as far as New York to Nevada. Her preferred media are watercolors, acrylics, oils, and graphics.

Soon after, he moved to New York where he began operatic vocal training and opened what would become a very successful textile business designing fabric and wallpaper. In 1933, he enrolled at the Art Students League under the tutelage of George Grosz. Little’s early work consisted predominantly of landscapes, until 1937, when he began studying under Hans Hofmann and his work naturally shifted toward abstraction.
