A nice early work abstract impasto by the noted artist Idelle Weber. She is an internationally recognized artist, and I am borrowing her bio from Joan Albano of Chicago.
The frame is new. The stretcher is an extremely high quality stretcher, with wrench type tighteners.

Idelle Weber is known internationally for her paintings, drawings and monotypes. Born in Chicago, Weber has been exhibiting in galleries and museums throughout the country since 1956. Her work has been placed in nurnerous public collections including The Chicago Art Institute, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Nelson Atkins Museurn of Art in Kansas City, Yale University Art Gallery, Albright Knox Art Gallery, and the Brooklyn Museurn. Idelle Weber has taught at the Victoria School of the Arts, Melbourne, Australia, Harvard University, and New York University. She currently resides in New York.
