Words Soon Forgotten is a contemporary abstract painting by artist Jeffrey Simmons on canvas. It was created using heavily-layered transparent pigments and an additive/subtractive approach to paint application. Signed On Verso Medium: Acrylic polymer emulsion on canvas over panel JEFFREY SIMMONS is a Seattle-based artist who works primarily in watercolor and acrylic paint. His work explores the limitations of mechanical processes and the construction of pattern, and he is influenced by astronomical imagery. Simmons currently teaches at Seattle University, and his work is featured in the collections of the Tacoma Art Museum, Boise Art Museum, and the Seattle Art Museum.
