A vast, stormy cloud advances through an azure sky in this moody landscape by Jay Hodgins. Layers of curated colors coated in a glossy resin create depth and light in this atmospheric painting. This work is part of the Rujuh series. Rujuh is Indonesian for seven, a number that has practical and mystical dimensions.
Hodgins attended the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design and has a BA in Interior Design from Ryerson University. With a talent for solving complex spatial and visual challenges, his progressive career path led to Canada’s most prestigious residential design firm, where he directed a roster of award-winning international projects. His art has been featured in national magazines and on HGTV. Hodgins' artworks are held in private and corporate collections.
