About the Item

John Platt, a Brooklyn artist, creates beautifully colored abstract paintings. This striped painting is a diptych. Each panel is 36 x 48 inches. Total dimensions are 36 x 96 inches. Platt studied at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts and has exhibited extensively in New York. His work is in numerous collections throughout the US and abroad. Platt is also the creator of “How to Draw A Lion, an art education program initiated to bring hope and raise funds for at risk children in sub-Saharan Africa. Each year, he travels to the region and spends months teaching art for schools in Tanzania, Kenya and Malawi.
