    By Antonio Puri

This is a sumi ink, acrylic, and mixed media painting on paper in black (or charcoal gray) with subtle appearances of flowers, leaves, and a white medallion. It is a highly textured work on heavy, handmade khadi paper from India, hand torn for irregular edges. This painting can be displayed in any orientation - horizontally or vertically. During this time, Puri completed several artist residencies all over the world, including in New York, Hungary, Bulgaria, Colombia, South Africa, Serbia, Mauritius, India, Denmark, Trinidad and Tobago, and Romania.
