About the Item
This work is part of the most recognized technique of Danish artist Peter Kramer (1959, Roskilde), the unique painting technique he developed called "cotton knots." For weeks, he obsessively knots spools of thread, then cuts the knots one by one and glues them to the surface. The surface can be canvas, wood, or any other material the artist chooses. The result is moving, a completely handcrafted process full of symbolism.
In this case, the dimensions of this work are 50 x 35 cm. The technique used is braided and knotted cotton rope on canvas mounted on a board. It is a painting from 2017.
