Overlapping shapes and pattern in dazzling colors are arranged like a puzzle in this dynamic tondo by Sylvain Louis-Seize. The painting calls on a minimalist aesthetic but pulls on the dynamic language of street art bringing to mind the work of his contemporaries, KAWS or Shepard Fairey.
Montreal born Sylvain Louis-Seize's career took off in 2005 with a series of sold out exhibitions in Toronto. In this new body of celebratory paintings, the artist explores bold hard edged shapes and the illusion of space. The artist's works including large scale commissions are held in private and corporate collections in the UK, the US, Canada and Europe.
