Hidden words and symbols hide beneath the bold red exterior of the painting. Solid watercolours were used to sketch shapes below the surface. The red surface treatment reacted with the watercolours by bleeding, oozing, and cracking the red acrylic top coat. Raw and powerful the painting speaks volumes while using just one colour.
