Artist’s Statement

Unfinished Documentation:

These paintings explore our tempestuous romance with the balance of science and nature. Working on paintings that swoon over the beauty of an environment in retreat, deleting (erasing) the natural surroundings and leaving only the bare limbs.

Left only with the slight memory of what once was.

These drawings ask us, the viewer to contemplate loss, both personal and universal. They arouse the deepest emotion of harmony in the viewer. Harmony found in what is not there.
