Adriaen Beeldemaker was born in 1618 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. He was mainly a painter of hunting scenes and of animals, particularly dogs. Beeldemaker spent time working in Leiden, Dordrecht and The Hague.
He had two sons who also became painters. Cornelius and Frans Beeldemaker.
