About the Item

Eupholus Shoenherri 2019 Oil and metal leaf. on panel 5" x 7"unframed 8.25" x 8.25" framed Eupholus Shoenherri is a species of beetles from New Guinea. Many of the artist's works are in the longstanding artistic tradition of the naturalistic blending of science and art yet in a contemporary context. Matthew Bober lives and works out of NYC. His work mixes traditional painting techniques with contemporary design and aesthetic into a macabre pop realism. He studied at The School of Visual Arts, The National Academy Of Design and The Art Students League of New York, shows at galleries throughout the east coast. Matthew worked as a senior painter for Jeff Koons for 13 years painting many of his most important works.

    Doug Newton’s hyper-real oil paintings observe reality, explore translucency, reflections and luminosity, and dazzle the viewer with all the ways light can transform our perceptions.
