The late queen of Spain sponsored one of his first shows, following which he began exhibiting at man galleries on Faubourg St. But the allure of New York City swindled him away, and where he opened his first gallery in 1965. By the mid 70s he was exhibiting his exotic jungle artworks throughout the United States.
