In classical mythology, Hercules is famous for his strength and for his numerous far-ranging adventures.
Hercules is a multifaceted figure with contradictory characteristics. For the artist, Alexandru Rădvan, Hercules is just a normal man with a very usual life. You can see him in the vineyard, in Halkidiki, in the swamp, trying to put away a sea urchin or skinning a rabbit.
From the mythology, the artist keeps just the impressive posture of the character and the attributes, as the lion skin, while the action in which he is implicated are related to normal daily life.
