Sensual Embrace is gouache and China ink on silk, realized by an anonymous Japanese artist of XIX century, probably in the second half of XIX century. An original painting, from a collection of twelve Japanese erotic silk paintings, wrongly titled "Shunga", mounted under a yellow cardboard passepartous, cm 37 x 26.8. This modern artwork of little dimensions, but of extraordinary quality: the gouache on silk is a technique that has few difficulties in execution and that requires a rapid and virtuous hand. A couple of lovers is portrayed in their intimate situation, in their engaging, tender and sensual embrace at the same time, showing their refined and sophisticated costumes of rare beauty and their typical Japanese hairstyle. In excellent conditions, except for a very little burnish stains on the corners. This artwork is shipped from Italy.
