An exuberant impressionist floral still life by Marie Lucie Nessi-Valtat (1910-1992). Marie Lucie studied with André Lhote, at the Ecole des Beaux art and at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière from the age of 18. She was part of the circle of Montparnasse artists Léonard Foujita, Jean Hélion, Moïse Kisling. In 1932 Marie Lucie Nessi married Jean Valtat, the son of Post Impressionist master Louis Valtat, whose work influenced on his daughter-in-law's art.
