This mixed media painting on canvas measures 36x54" framed size 38x56". Titled "Brando and G", it is in Ceravolo's classic urban Pop style. In this mixed media painting on canvas the image of Brando and G on the motorcycle is not created from a photograph, it is created by Ceravolo directly from his large scale original oil painting which he then transfers with pigmented inks to canvas at his studio. Ceravolo then hand paints the canvas with thickly applied metallic acrylic, oil stick and spray paint to add color texture and movement to this work.
This canvas in addition to Marlon Brando, also features Ceravolo's gopher "G" standing on the Bike looking at the trophy that is tied between the handle bars.
With private collectors like, Hugh M. Hefner, Elton John and Rod Stewart, Ceravolo's Large scale paintings have received international acclaim for more than four decades. His art, came to popular attention when he was commissioned to create five large scale paintings of Linda Ronstadt, Jackson Browne, Neil Young, Frank Zappa and Hall and Oates for the lobby of The Palladium Theatre in New York City. In addition to those, his paintings are in many influential corporate and private collections, including:
WARNER BROS., RCA RECORDS, ELTON JOHN, ROD STEWART, HUGH M. HEFNER, DAVID BRENNER, MONIQUE VAN VOOREN, AND SCHENLEY INDUSTRIES to name a few.
