The Clown by Claude Weisbuch, is 50 X 40 framed. The canvas is 46 X 35. This painting has been in a family collection since the 1960's. This esteemed artist was born France in 1927, After studying at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts of Nancy, he was appointed professor at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts od Saint-Ettienne. His first exhibition was in Paris in 1957 and since his work has been shown throughout the Worl. Known for using only a few earth tones as well as black and white, Weisbuch emphasized movement and form through line weight and tone.
