Ewa Rzeznik
''Bretagne'' Contemporary Beach Oil Painting of a Family Walking on the Beach

2020

About the Item

The Polish artist Ewa Rzeznik reflects reality in her colorful paintings: Fishermen along the French coast, families walking towards the Mon Saint-Michel, children playing in the surf. The bright use of color, almost luminous, attracts the attention. Ewa's work radiates elegance and lightness. Her ability to depict fleeting moments, moments when things change and take on a new look through variations of the light, or when the painter's gaze changes is admirable. With an apparent nonchalance, few details, mixed with an infinite mastery of the palette knife, Ewa brings the characters and landscapes on the canvas to life. Ewa obtained a Master of Fine Art in 1994 from the University of Lublin, Poland and a postgraduate degree in Visual Communication in Paris. She works and lives in Bretagne, France.

By following her passion for paint, she tries to represent reality and thereby express her feeling in the expressive colors she uses. Her paintings show a fascination with the movement and texture of water, which is depicted in vivid colors in her works. Her hybrid painting style combines realism with impressionism in a very interesting way, providing a different view of the world and our memories of it. Devlin loves the unexpected, looks at things from a crazy angle and imagines. Since 2014 she mainly paints underwater portraits...
