About

George Little utilizes the metaphorical platform of the restaurant as a vehicle for painterly investigation. The choice of the restaurant as setting and theme also reflects Little’s personal history – he grew up in and around kitchens in London’s Soho area. From the folds of a napkin to the table cloth, the source materials create an interrogation into the etiquette and construction of formal decorum within the art world and the service industry.
George Little (b. 1988) was born and currently lives and works in London where he graduated from Royal College of Art. His works exhibited at the Liverpool Biennial, Bloomberg New Contemporaries at the ICA and Saatchi Gallery in “New Order II: British Art Today”. ArtReview named him as one of their Future Greats of 2014.
