Two people rest in the sun, shielding their eyes from the bright light. Tonal palette with subtle accenting from the blue clothing and sunglasses of the figure in the back. "This painting is about two people, engrossed in each other's company, on a lovely day in the park," says Liz.
About the Artist
Liz is a self-taught artist who is inspired by the graceful movement of the figure. She paints both from her own photographs and from life. One of her favorite subjects, the dancer, exemplifies a celebration of the female form and the artist’s personal love of ballet. Liz’s paintings are emotional and even raw, capturing each subject with active line- and brushwork. She does not assign an intended interpretation or narrative to her paintings; “I think that each viewer brings their own response to my art, and I don't care to 'mess' with their vision and experience.”
