About Dmitry Samygin
Furniture and Product Designer. His approach relies on simple forms and clarity in ideas with carefully chosen materials to expose the essence of an object. His products exemplify humanistic design, comfort in everyday use and ergonomic function.
He is a prize-winner in international competitions. He has taken part in exhibitions in Paris, Milan and Moscow, collaborates with European and Russian production, architectural and design companies. Since 2021 Dmitriy's design has been presented in a permanent exhibition at the Museum of Arts and Crafts in Moscow. Dmitry's graphics and designs are in private collections all over the world.

Dès l’âge de 14 ans, Jean-Louis Salvadori s’exprime dans son art et découpe des personnages dans du bois à l’aide d’une scie et les colorie. Dans les années 70 il rencontre le photographe Henry Hermellin avec qui il réalise des portraits en noir et blanc dans différentes expositions communes. Salvadori troque son appareil photo à nouveau pour le pinceau. Depuis les premières expositions de photos à celles de peintures cet artiste polyvalent s’est orienté vers un travail original... Ses œuvres permettent à la suggestion de prendre une place importante. Ce poète, peintre des couleurs, sensible, imaginatif, aborde avec talent la technique mixte mariée à celle du pinceau. Ce qu’il aime surtout, ce sont les portraits, les silhouettes, teintés d’un soupçon de romantisme. Il excelle dans les mises en scène où l’on peut voir des élégantes en représentation, des musiciens créant la fête, des couples tendrement enlacés, …Salvadori n’appartient à aucune école, son talent lui est personnel. Il a comme l’un de ses personnages, « le nez dans les étoiles », et nous invite à le suivre dans son univers de l’imaginaire.

Born in Fayoum to a big family of 5 brothers and sisters. In 1938 he meets the famous painter Hussein Bikar and he becomes his student in the Faculty of Arts in Qena. He remained much attached to his professor all through his life. In 1940 he meets Hussein Youssef Amin and the Group of Contemporary Art at the secondary school of Farouk First in Abasya district in Cairo when he was introduced to surrealism for the first time. In 1943 he becomes a student at the Faculty of Fine Arts and graduates with excellence and honors in 1947. In 1948 he becomes an assistant to the interior decoration section at the FFA. He is then sent to a mission in Paris in 1952 and he becomes a student to Paul Colin and A.Marie Cassandre for publicity and theatre design. He then moves to Rome in 1956 to study cinema design. In 1957 he received the international prize in painting from San Vito Romano, Italy, and obtains his Ph.D. from Centro Sperimental di Cinemato Grafia.
