"Musicians. Violin" Oil Painting 31" x 23" inch by Raphael Aslanyan
The painter was born in Armenia, in 1976 he graduated from the Yerevan Art and Theater Academy, having received an art education. His teacher was Sarkis Muradyan, the national artist of Armenia, who studied the profession with the great Martiros Saryan.
Rafael Yegorovich began to show his works at exhibitions since 1978. Over the years, with a steady success, a considerable number of personal exhibitions of the artist took place. They took place in many Russian cities, traveled abroad. Since the 1988th move, the life and work of Rafael Aslanyan has been connected with Tomsk. From the first years of his life in the city, the artist’s work aroused interest among the public.
Creating his canvases, the artist constantly experimented with painting techniques, with the texture of the canvas, and the color scheme. Aslanian’s work was greatly influenced by national Armenian painting, however, in his works echoes of ancient Russian icon painting and Western artists who worked in the 19-20th centuries are noticeable.
