This is a rare oil painting by Anton Solomoukha from 1990s executed in realistic style. Yet Solomoukha is playing with concepts here by almost extending the shoe's shade outside of canvas and suspending the object in space against the background. By doing so he is certainly referring to René Magritte and saying: "This Is Not a Shoe."
