1917 - 2000 Born in Pidzhakovo, Orenburg, Russia. Studied at the prestigious Moscow Art Institute from 1943 to 1948. He began exhibiting in 1949 and participated in numerous exhibitions throughout his career. He was a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. He is listed in Matthew Bown's, A Dictionary of Twentieth Century Russian and Soviet Painters.

    This is a painting from the early 1960's Soviet Era Russia. A true Russian impressionist landscape. Because of it's age, and it being a plein-air work on board, it shows some age. That being said, it is still beautiful and in tremendous shape.

It was a long visit: the child was two years old by the time the family returned to Ghent.[1] After a short period of practice with his father, van Biesbroeck was enrolled in the Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent.
