A dramatic, early twentieth-century painting showing a glowing, sunset view of this beloved Yosemite landmark that rises majestically 3,000 feet from the valley floor. On June 3, 2017, Alex Honnold completed the first free solo climb of the 3,000 of El Capitan. This jewel-like oil retains its original and period, hand-carved giltwood frame.
