An impressionistic depiction of people walking about near the Museum on a rainy day. A man walks quickly holding a briefcase, a group of woman huddled together under one umbrella; this painting goes back in time as the artist captures the style and trend of the early 20th Century with old cars parked in the distance and fashion of the people. A wonderful piece evoking an emotion bringing us into the past with this whimsical scene. This painting is done in oil on canvas and signed lower left.
Art measures 16 x 20 inches
Having built a diverse body of work since her early career ranging from portraits to abstract paintings of the universe, today Cindy's works exhibit a more impressionistic technique. She is mostly known for her consistent impressionistic street scenes which resemble the Ashcan School, depicting old cars on the road during the early 20th Century. Her whimsicality is precious, leaving much room for nostalgia in her works. For more than a decade her works have been a part of several important Exhibitions throughout New York City. Her works are part of private collections including ‘Dr. Issac Shohar’ and ‘Zion Yakabov’ in Tel Aviv, Israel, and ‘Alex Acevedo’ on Madison Ave., New York.
PROVENANCE: Lilac Gallery Collection. Signed lower left. This original artwork includes a Certificate of Authenticity issued by the Gallery. The piece will be stamped from Lilac Gallery on its verso.
