About the Item
Rather than re-creating a literal landscape on canvas or paper, I aim to express its essence in a rich and complex form of delicately painted organic subjects that float and trail across the surface. Fragmentary plant forms drift within color fields, at times receding into pool-like depths, and at others buoyed by surrounding luminescence that seems to rise out of the color and project beyond the surface.
