About

This gorgeous painting by Diane Burko is inspired by the life cycle of coral reefs, documenting the intense and vibrant colors of coral under stress due to the effects of climate change. This is part of the "ENDANGERED: From Glaciers to Reefs" exhibition which chronicles the artist's most recent investigations of the intersection of art and science through her expeditions to the coral reefs. Burko travels the world and bears witness to the beauty of our changing planet from the air, ground and underwater. A high-quality museum exhibition catalog of the new and ongoing coral reef artwork series accompanies the painting.
