About the Item
St. Paul de Vence
by Emrik Reinier (French 20th century)
signed, oil painting on canvas
framed
framed size: 28.5 x 25 inches
Superb original oil painting on canvas, depicting the beautiful hill perched town in the South of France - St. Paul de Vence. Nestled in the hills above Nice, looking over the distant Mediterranean Sea.
The painting dates to circa 2000 and is signed by its artist to the lower left corner. We bought it from a collection of Impressionist paintings in France. Its well framed and in lovely condition.
St. Paul de Vence has long since attracted artists and art lovers for decades - including most of the greatest names in 20th century art. The famous La Colombe d'or restaurant's walls are lined with early 20th century masterpieces, reputedly swapped by 'impoverished artists' of the day in exchange for meals and lodgings!
Condition report:
The painting is in very good condition and ready to hang.
