Freeman Baldridge's love of painting was inspired by a work by French landscape painter Jean-Charles Cazin, and Baldridge began to copy works by Monet and Renoir. At Baldridge's show at Tenison House Gallery, the curator described his works as impressionism with touches or surrealism. Baldridge called them romantic unrealism (courtesy of Dallas Life Magazine of The Dallas Morning News).
