Ivana Milosevic
Magic Light

2020

About the Item

Ivana Milosevic creates vibrant, pulsing cityscapes that emphasize color and texture. She uses palette knives and bushes to carve building structures into layers of paint. Small shadows of human figures populate her city streets, adding a sense of familiarity and bustling life. A practicing architect as well, Milosevic's work vibrates with exacting architectural line work juxtaposed against swathes of lush colors. Milosevic pays special attention in her artworks to city’s building structures and facades. She adds soothing silhouettes of people to emphasize a meaning of perspective, flow of time and speed of life. By combining architecture and urbanism with figures and crowds, Milosevic strives to make the viewer feel in the present moment and not in the past. This one-of-a-kind 32 inch square artwork is created with acrylic paint on canvas. This artwork is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with this unique artwork. Ivana Milosevic was born in Serbia in 1972. In 1998 she graduated from Belgrade University with a Master’s degree in Architecture. Since 2000 she has been practicing architecture in Municipality of Trstenik specializing in urban design and city planning. As a deputy Mayor of Trstenik, Ivana has transformed the city into a modern and contemporary living environment. Her passion for city planning and engaging public landscapes becomes visible in her painting. “Through my professional practice, cityscapes are the main theme of my artworks. I explore the structure of the city, explore the construction, visual impressions, through various problems in the city. I put layers and layers of oil paint on canvas, trying to rebuild the parts and pieces; life and its beauty!” Ivana Milosevic's paintings have been exhibited and collected internationally.

  • Light Force - Original Large Oversized Abstract Expressionism Cubist Painting
    By Frankie Alfonso
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
Cuban-American artist Frankie Alfonso creates interwoven paintings using lively colors and spontaneous, well-balanced compositions. His work is best described as a style of automatic writing where he manipulates simple lines to make complex arrangements of balance and harmony. His style is a mix of cubism, cartoon animation, surrealism, graffiti, and abstract expressionism. This large original graffiti-inspired artwork is 57 inches high by 80 inches wide. The sides of the artwork are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. This painting is signed by the artist on the front. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping is available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Alfonso began drawing at an early age. He first found inspiration in comic books and enjoyed drawing his favorite superheroes from an unconventional perspective. As a teenager, he started to experiment with oils, and acrylics and took his passion for art to the canvas. Even after painting for over 20 years, he still pushes the boundaries while experimenting with mixed media, including oil, acrylic, gouache, and spray paint. Alfonso attended art school in Tampa, Florida, and traveled Europe for several years in search of inspiration and his own unique voice in art. Alfonso used his in-depth studies of European Masters and was inspired by Picasso, Braque, Klee, Dali, Basquiat, De Kooning, and Matisse. The joyful expressions of his artworks resonate in a positive light and inspire creative thinking and innovation. His works are represented by Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, and have been exhibited in Florida and California. They have been collected throughout the United States and Europe. • Yellow Gold Palm
    By Kathleen Keifer
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
Kathleen Keifer is a California-based internationally collected artist. She is a leading force of the New California Realism. With a high level of technical virtuosity Keifer creates a new sense of reality with textures and colors that seem to add lighting effects and distinct shadows, confronting the viewer with new interpretations of familiar objects. This one-of-a-kind 12 inch square original artwork is a composition created with acrylic paint on canvas. It is wired and ready to hang. The sides are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. It signed by the artist on the front of the artwork. Convenient local Los Angeles area shipping. Affordable Continental U.S. and global shipping also available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Kathleen’s paintings invite the viewer to consider the complex relationship between time and timelessness. It is the sheer visual interaction between the elements, taken in their bare simplicity that interests her. For her, painting captures the very essence of time and its passage. She believes that actual sites and places have an individual magic. The goal is to take objects from popular culture and paint them in a new narrative context. Her complex approaches to popular board games present the subjects as living, tangible objects. Born and raised in Chicago, Kathleen Keifer is a second-generation artist. Her mother, also a fine artist, exposed Keifer to the world of art and supervised her training from a very early age. This legacy continues today as Keifer closely nurtures the development of the artistic leaning in each of her three daughters, inspiring a third generation of female artists. Her works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles and have been exhibited and collected internationally, including Chicago, New York and London.
